Amidst The Waves

Covid has thrown life as we knew it into turmoil. Like Peter stepping out of the boat, if our eyes are on the waves, we fall victim to the storm. If our eyes are focused on Jesus we will stay above the water. It’s not that the waves have subsided, but rather that we can overcome them with Christ. The boat represents the way we were doing things, where we feel we are safe but are still tossed about. Conquering the waves is the new way, the way of stepping out to follow Jesus. The world wants us to believe things will go back to “normal.” God wants us to look to Him for a new direction. If we look to humanity, we will get human, worldly answers.
